Publishing Files Using FTP

What is FTP?

FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol." In laymen's terms, it is a software program that allows you to send a digital file from your computer to the webserver. FTP works anywhere, but it is highly recommended that you move the files to your local computer, edit them, and then move the files back to the server.

Where can I get FTP Software?

Our first recommendation for free FTP software is to use Internet Explorer. It's easy and we are able to support it. For step by step instructions on how to use the FTP feature on Internet Explorer download the word document or the PDF.

There are also variety of free FTP software programs available on the Internet. Use your favorite browser and search for "free FTP software".
