Introducing New Faculty Staff Resource Center Training Opportunities... The UCC Faculty Staff Resource Center is pleased to introduce our new series of training opportunities, which include e-learning courses, workshops by request, and individual appointment sessions. Whether you are a busy faculty or staff member who needs topic-specific technology training, or you simply prefer the convenience of taking a course anytime during lab hours, we now offer several exciting online training opportunities that are right for you. The new computer-based courses are flexible and learner-driven. They allow you to select topics that interest you, and learn when it is convenient for you. These offerings are especially convenient for those with class and office hour schedules that have made it difficult to participate in our traditional scheduled workshops. No longer do you need to wait for workshops to be scheduled before you can take them or discover that there is a conflict with your class or office hour schedules. The new FSRC E-learning courses include the following: Microsoft E-Learning Library (MELL): The Microsoft E-Learning Library (MELL) provides high-quality training and reference resources for using Microsoft software. At present, more than 30 courses are offered covering everything from an introduction to Microsoft Office to advanced Web page techniques. Each course offers: high-quality, Web browser-based training; reliable, in-depth content; engaging simulations and interactive exercises; powerful search tools that provide quick and easy access to the information you need when you need it; focused lessons on specific subjects to help you quickly learn exactly what you need to know. Mindleaders© Courses via the State of Louisiana Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP): A new online service offered by the Louisiana State Comprehensive Public Training Program offers all UNO employees free access to online courses that can help them succeed on the job and in their personal lives. Because the training is web-based, learners can take courses at their convenience.
