E-mail Forwarding with OWA

Warning: It is possible to forward all incoming messages to a different remote, non-UNO e‑mail server. However, there is a risk involved in establishing such a forwarding. If many individuals forward their messages to the same remote server, that remote serve may misinterpret those incoming messages as spam and either block or delete the messages before the intended account receives the messages. Therefore, it is possible that the user may miss important messages because the messages were thought to be spam. UCC cannot be responsible for the policy or actions of remote e-mail servers.

Log onto to OWA in the usual manner.

  1. Click the options button at the top right of the browser window.

  1. Click on the Rules section on the right hand side of the browser window

  2. Click on the New Rule button

  3. Click on the Create New Rule from the drop down menu

  4. Click if my name is…

  5. Select In the To or CC box

  6. Click forward or redirect…

  7. Select the redirect option

  8. Click the people or Distribution lists link underneath the Rule Description

  9. Type the email address that you want the email redirected to

  10. Click the OK button

  11. Click the Save button

  12. Log off from OWA
